About Us

A chance visit to a factory making tropical ice creams in the Daintree rainforest has led to the creation of Bush Tucker Ice Cream.

Ian and Sandra Pickett were holidaying in Far North Queensland when they decided to introduce Adelaide people to bush tucker flavours through a new range of icecreams.

Ian and Sandra began experimenting with various mixtures in the kitchen using a five litre ice cream machine until they developed a range of bush tucker flavours.

At this time they heard about the Adelaide Farmers Market starting at the Royal Adelaide Showgrounds and decided to trial their bush tucker icecreams.

Bush Tucker Ice Cream has been running since October 1 2006 and has become one of the business success stories resulting from the farmers' market.

The base of the icecream is natural full cream icecream, with no added preservatives. They source all their bush tucker flavours from growers around australia.
