Bush Tucker Icecream wins Gold for Premium Icecream
The Australian Grand Dairy Awards judged in association with the 2010 Royal Adelaide Show Dairy Competition were announced yesterday.
Bush Tucker Icecream was awarded a Gold Medal for Lilly Pilly and Wild Ginger Icecream and a Silver Medal for Wattleseed Icecream in the prestigious Premium Icecream Class.
Manager, Sandra Pickett, said that this was the first competition that Bush Tucker Icecream had entered and she was very excited and proud of the results in these industry awards. We aim to make the best quality icecream possible combined with Australian native fruits. This award justifies the ringing endorsements the product range has attracted from such luminaries as Matt Preston (Masterchef, Delicious Magazine), Brendan Somerville (Haigh’s Chocolates & Sumptuous Magazine), Andre Ursini (Triple M) and David Sly (SA Life).
The Australian Grand Dairy Awards included entries from large corporate to boutique producers from all around Australia. Products included pure and flavoured milks, various types of cheeses, yoghurts, frozen desserts and chocolates.
Bush Tucker Icecream is available at the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market each week and in the IGA/Taste SA Pavilion at the Royal Show.
